Maldonado 2014 PAWSS. Required 0-point threshold (any alcohol in the last 30 days or positive BAL on admission): if false, score 0 and band outside_window even if other flags are true. If true, ten yes/no items score 1 each (max 10); 0-3 low, >=4 high risk for complicated alcohol withdrawal. Not a diagnosis or prophylaxis order. magent does not interview the patient or measure BAL.
